WHAT TO EXPECT IN YOUR EYE EXAMINATIONS?

Your optometrist will create a full case history based on your eye health, family history of eye conditions and medical status.

They will assess your eyesight in detail using visual acuity and refraction tests.

Your eye health will be assessed using a series of tests to screen for conditions and look for warning signs or abnormalities.
ENHANCED EYE EXAMINATIONS WITH OCT
Some people are more at risk of eye conditions than others. This may be because of a family history of eye problems, another medical condition or simply getting older. In these cases, it is a good idea to have the most detailed testing available to ensure any issues are caught early on.
To give this option to our patients, we offer Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT) scans. This amazing technology provides detailed 3D images of the inner eye allowing optometrists to catch a wide variety of conditions much earlier.
WHAT IS ACES?
ACES is a free service available to all patients registered with a Somerset GP. The service provides patients experiencing recently occurring medical eye conditions with appropriate treatment closer to home. The service is provided by our optometrists who have the specialist knowledge and skills to carry out this work. Click here to find out more.

FRAME STYLING
Our in-house stylist Rebecca has worked for Eye-Tech for 25 years and will be a familiar face to many. She studied with the Eyewear Styling Academy and qualified in March 2020.
Rebecca has been trained in how to assess individual colour analysis, colour psychology, facial features analysis, style personality and eyewear selection. This individually dedicated consultation service offers clients a unique and bespoke eyewear styling consultation to help them discover their perfect eyewear to suit both their optical and style needs.
